
ZHANG Renhe is an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a Distinguished Professor and dean of the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences at Fudan University. He previously served as Deputy Director of the Institute of Atmospheric Physics (CAS) and President of the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences. In 2016, he became Dean of the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences at Fudan University. He has held numerous domestic and international academic positions, including membership in the CLIVAR Scientific Steering Group and the GCOS Standing Committee, and Vice President of the Chinese Meteorological Society. His research centers on climate dynamics, including tropical large-scale air-sea interactions, the Asian monsoon, and Tibetan Plateau meteorology. He has led over 20 national research projects and published more than 260 academic papers, including over 120 SCI journal articles. He holds a bachelor's degree from Lanzhou University and a PhD from the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, CAS.
