Seydina Moussa NDIAYE is a leading Senegalese AI expert and Director of the AI Living Lab for Innovative and Viable Ethical Policies and Systems (ALIVE) Research Group at Cheikh Hamidou Kane Digital University, Senegal. With his profound expertise in regional technology governance, he was appointed as one of the 38 global members of the UN High-Level Advisory Body on Artificial Intelligence. He serves as President of Senegalese Association for Artificial Intelligence (ASIA) and as an expert for the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI). In advancing Africa’s indigenous digital strategies, Dr. NDIAYE contributed as a core expert to the drafting of the African Union’s Pan-African AI White Paper and Strategy. Domestically, he provided pivotal support for the top-level design of Senegal’s national AI and data strategy. He served on the National Digital Council and coordinated the procurement and deployment of Senegal’s national supercomputer project (TAOUEY) to enhance local computing capacities. He holds a PhD in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) from Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse and an MBA from IAE Paris-Sorbonne Business School in Paris.
