Question: What is your greatest hope for the development of the AI capacity-building network over the next year?
The significance of the AI capacity-building network should not be judged by comparing its funding with the vast sums invested globally in AI. It demonstrates that the rest of the world will neither wait passively for the technological wave nor depend solely on outside assistance, but can build capability through mutual support, cooperation and peer-to-peer learning. AI is about more than economic value; it concerns equity, justice, development and human dignity. Countries can participate in the intelligent age with dignity only when they possess genuine understanding and capability. The network should now place human resources first, developing talent across domains; turn practical experience, including data-center development, into reusable decision blueprints; and pursue early use cases that produce a clear development dividend, such as disaster early warning and water-scarcity management. By generating visible results and attracting more partners and centers, the network can become an accelerator of learning and extend the benefits of AI capacity to a much wider group of countries and communities.
