Abstract: Artificial intelligence has increasingly reached a consensus as an augmentation tool—for example, large-model applications enabling knowledge and reasoning enhancement, and wearables and exoskeletons enabling physical enhancement. In this sense, intelligent augmentation is a normative category that reflects, through AI tools, on how intelligent technologies augment humans and how such augmentation relates to the construction of new-type relations of production. If AI exists primarily as a tool, relations of production remain fundamentally human-to-human, and labor retains its social and personal character. If AI exists as an agent, however, transformation of relations of production becomes inevitable: it must couple with new quality productive forces; the laborer evolves toward a human-machine hybrid form; the object of labor shifts from material existence to virtual existence; and tools are either absorbed into the subject or replace the human subject.
