Abstract: Within the classification system of Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), Superintelligence (ASI) and “Virtuoso Intelligence” represent the highest levels of artificial intelligence capabilities. Consequently, researchers are increasingly dedicated to developing agents that integrate advanced cognition, decision-making, and reasoning. Current development manifests three main trajectories: first, the shift from conversational tools to autonomous agents (e.g., ChatGPT Agent); second, transcending the limitations of large language models to develop embodied agents (pioneered by scholars such as Fei-Fei Li); and third, constructing world-modeling “Scientist AI” (proposed as an ASI safety solution). However, existing approaches often overlook traditional Chinese culture and lack distinctive cultural expression. Drawing from China’s literary tradition, the historical group of “Literati”(文人) embodies “fenggu”(风骨)—a core spirit representing character and moral integrity—which provides a theoretical foundation for constructing “Fenggu Agents.”Such agents represent a viable development pathway for “Humanistic AI,” and their development may also inject new dimensions into virtue ethics.
