Absract
This talk explores the potential of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and Digital Economy Agreements (DEAs) asemerging pathways for international AI governance. It examines whether these frameworks can help addresskey issues such as AI safety, ethics, sustainability, and global inclusiveness, while reducing regulatoryfragmentation and supporting future multilateral cooperation, including China's proposed World AlCooperation Organization (WAICO).
