Dr. Farrukh Khakimov is currently Head of Department at the Development Strategy Center (DSC), Uzbekistan. Farrukh KhakimovHe holds a PhD in Political Science from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Uzbekistan, as well as a International joint Master’s degree from the University of Glasgow and Zhejiang University.
Prior to joining the DSC, Dr. Khakimov lectured at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and also worked as a research fellow at the Academy of Public Administration and at the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Republic of Uzbekistan during 2010-2016.
Dr. Khakimov’s areas of research interests include are regionalism and regional integration in Central Asia, geopolitics of Central Asian geopolitics, digital transformation, digitalization processes, digital governance, public administration, and digital government. During his timevisit atto the Center for Global Al Innovative Governance (CGAlG) and Fudan Development Institute (FDDI), he will conduct research onhis research aims to artificial intelligencAIe governance, digital sovereignty, and China-Central Asia cooperation.
Farrukh Khakimov will be a visiting scholar at CGAlG and FDDI Fudan Development Institute from June 1, 2026 to June 30, 2026.
